The Southwest Riverside County Biz PAC sent every candidate the following candidate questionnaire. The intent was to cover as many business issues as possible to get to know the candidate better. We recognize that some response choices may not fully reflect the candidate’s position, but we acknowledged that and asked them to submit the option that most closely reflects their view.

Q1. In 100 words or less, describe why you are running for office.
Q2. What are the 2 things, that if accomplished in the next 4 years, would make your term a success?
A1: Since moving to Wildomar, I've been very passionate about helping to improve our city. I have seen a strong push to grow our city without regard for improvement or safety of the community, neighborhoods, schools or local businesses. Our city is facing many challenges without plans to fix or make improvements. I want to work with residents and lawmakers to address the low/no income housing and home shelters going in (which is impacting our schools and neighborhoods), the ongoing septic issues, flooding and lack of attention to our roads and community safety. My goal is to ensure our voice is consistently heard to shape and improve District 4. As a 25-year communication executive, building and implementing corporate strategies, I want to improve how the city communicates with their constituents to a more personal and direct approach. It’ll be about listening and understanding the issues so we can find solutions or work with necessary stakeholders that can actually help. I have found listening to many residents here in District 4 that the City Council could be more helpful in getting meetings set up with other stakeholders that can help them resolve issues. They have been told to just go talk to so and so... I want to help set up meetings, be involved in discussions with residents and key stakeholders. I'm prepared to get involved and be a real advocate for our District 4 residents.
A2: Working with our Senator and State Assembly member to write a bill that would provide new laws that would require Low/No Income and Homeless Shelters management to adhere to health inspections, employee certifications, security, services offered and more. The other success with be getting the roads improved in Wildomar - specifically Bundy from the 15 to Mission Trail.

Q1. In 100 words or less, describe why you are running for office.
Q2. What are the 2 things, that if accomplished in the next 4 years, would make your term a success?
A1: Local government should be accessible and transparent. Meetings should be a time to discuss and show findings of fact for decisions, not just a hasty “move along” habit. The Brown Act limits the full council to only talking about city business in a public meeting. These discussions are for our community to hear the reasons for decisions rather than quickly voting on multiple “consent calendar” agenda items without discussion. The public should be able to come to a meeting and know about city business decisions without having to drill down through online agenda files to research what just happened!
A2: Transparency in government through finding of fact decision making, reducing waste, and having small government that represents the interests of our local citizens. Less regulation and a focus on public safety and infrastructure. NOTE: many of the questionnaire choices really are limited and do not reflect my view -- but mandates a response to finish the document. When mentioning "increasing public investment" I am interpreting it to mean using the tax monies available to get the job done in a responsible and timely manner NOT to add more tax burden on the taxpayer whether resident or business in our City. Define "Public/Private partnership" -- if referring to Redevelopment -- this is not a good thing for Wildomar e.g. Tax Increment Financing https://ternercenter.berkeley.edu/research-and-policy/tax-increment-financing-california-cities/ and Tres Lagos which was supposed to be senior housing and became 3-story affordable housing by extraordinary rights dictated by CA state legislature and insensitive to concerns of neighbors.
